Slob Stickers? What in the world are these?

Many of us who grew up in the 1980s are very familiar with the irreverant humor of the Topps Garbage Pail Kids. However, before there were Garbage Pail Kids, there were 1966 Topps Slob Stickers.

These stickers are tough to find and they are even tough to find much info about. It appears there were three series of stickers with 44 stickers in each series. Each series used the same images but had a different name.

The first series just used a sticker number. The second series used an “A” with the number and the third series used a “B”. So 1, 1A, and 1B. The B set is considered the most rare and carry the highest values according to recent eBay sales.

A Topps 2013 75th anniversary release provided a bit of info about the original set. Mad Magazine artist Jack Davis created the artwork for the characters. Like the other Topps products of the day, they stickers were sold in wax packs and came with a stick of gum.
