In 1980, Star Wars partnered with Hershey’s to promote The Empire Strikes Back by including a trading card on the back of specially marked 6 packs of candy bars!

Over the years, Star Wars has mastered the use of product licensing and promotion with a variety of brands. Toys, packaged food products, and restaurant promotions are just some of the ways brands have capitalized on the rabid Star Wars Fan base.

For this partnership with Hershey’s, there were 5 different cards which found their way onto the back of the 6 pack packages of 9 different types of candy bars. Here is a link to see which of them are currently available on eBay!
