5 Awesome Aaron Judge Cards

Aaron Judge has some pretty cool cards spanning his days as a prospect through his first several years playing for the Yankees in the MLB. Here are five of my favorites I have in my collection.

Aaron Judge came on to the scene back in 2017 as a relatively unheralded rookie. Outside of New York, the rest of the hobby community didn’t realize the potential he had. However, once the season started, he quickly began making an impact on the field and then the hype surrounding his cards followed suit.

I was buying a ton of collections from 2017-2019 and therefore I have had a bunch of Judge cards pass through my hands. I was not the biggest fan, but I appreciated he potential he was showing on the field so as I came across one I didn’t have, I added it to my “prospect” binder. I’ve got somewhere around 100 different Aaron Judge cards in my collection, and for this article I picked five of my favorites to discuss!

1) 2017 Topps Chrome Silver Pack #87-AJ

Topps thought enough of Judge to include him in the Series 1 base set and the Topps Silver Pack insert set.

In my opinion, this card is a thing of beauty. I like the 1987 design and I like how the team logo, centered photo, and RC logo all fit together. The mojo chrome effect even gives the wood grain border a bit of depth.

You can find this card for about $100 on eBay.

2) 2018 Topps #1

If I didn’t know about a player when I was growing up, there were two things on a baseball card that made me pay attention. The Topps Rookie Cup logo and the Future Stars logo.

The 2018 Topps Series 1 card of Aaron Judge used both. After being unanimously selected as the 2017 A.L. Rookie of the Year, Judge was granted the prestigious honor of being card #1 in the Series 1 release.

This second year card only costs a few dollars on eBay.

3) 2018 Topps Big League Gold Parallel #1

This is the third card in my list and it’s the third card of Judge in a batting pose. Aaron Judge excites fans every time he comes to the plate because they are anticipating yet another home run.

He set the A.L. record for home runs in 2022 and he hit 58 more in 2024.

Big League is one of my favorite entry level products in the Topps release schedule, and this gold parallel card is one of the favorites in my collection. It is another second year card which remains affordable coming in around $5 on eBay.

4) 2019 Topps Stadium Club #194

Stadium Club promised amazing photos when it debuted in 1991. Over 20 years later it continues to deliver. While not a game shot, the view of the stadium from behind the player is outstanding.

This is another affordable base card which can be found for just a few bucks on eBay.

5) 2018 Topps Gold Label Class 3 #2

Topps Gold Label brings together some characteristics many collectors love. The Gold Label product dates back to 1998 so it has nostalgia. It’s got multi-photo fronts, it’s still made of cardboard and not chrome, but it also incorporates “rainbow foil” so there is a refractor like shine. It also has 3 different tiers of scarcity with Class 3 being the most challenging to find.

This Class 3 Judge is the final card in my list and can be picked up for about $5-10 on eBay.

While I’m still not an avid fan, I’ve come to respect Judge as a player. I’m glad I spent some time setting aside several of his cards over the last several years. I shared a few of my favorites, but there are thousands more of his cards to choose from at all kinds of different price levels.
