The Thad Bosley Collection

The first baseball card I every purchased was a 1986 Topps Thad Bosley. Technically, I bought a whole cello pack of cards, but it was the Chicago Cubs outfielder who was right on top that made me want to buy it. You can read that story here.

Over the years, I’ve tried to track down every Bosley card I could find. I used TCDB.com and Beckett.com to build a checklist, and then I scoured eBay, COMC, and Sportlots to buy them. Despite having a career that spanned 15 seasons, he doesn’t have a ton of cards. As you will see below, many of the cards he does have are parallels or buybacks of his previously released cards.

To my knowledge, I have all but two of his “standard size” baseball cards. I think I only need the 2001 Oakland A’s Plumber’s Union card and the 1988 Donruss with no period after “Leaf INC” on the back. I’ve included photos of the front and back of each of the cards below. I have also added galleries of the oversized cards and other memorabilia items I’ve picked up over the years.
