The Living Set Basics
Topps launched the Living Set concept in 2018 with the MLB. The Star Wars, WWE, and Soccer (UEFA) have all seen their own versions. The set starts with card #1 but unlike traditional releases, the Living Set has no end. Each week a new card will be released. A player can only be used once unless they change teams. A retired player will only have one card regardless of how many teams they played for.
The cards are sold directly on Topps.com and the print runs will be determined by that week’s orders. There are a number of card sellers who buy in bulk and offer the weekly releases on eBay. This is actually my preferred method of purchase. It allows you to benefit from bulk pricing without actually having to buy in bulk! You will be able to check back here for a photo checklist and the associated print runs for each card. A handful of parallels will be randomly included with customer orders which will either be numbered to /50 or /10.
The set will use the 1957-58 design and will feature the artwork of Angel S. Aviles.
